As a YAHL member, you can engage and educate the public on important issues related to tobacco and nutrition, creating a meaningful and measurable impact in Oklahoma. You will work with other like-minded students to make a difference and cause real change in your community.
Plus, all the work you do in YAHL can help you earn scholarships, leadership experience, rewards and community service hours. Rewards for YAHL members can include items like a laptop, gift cards, electronics and more.
Once a school is accepted into the Partner Program, students who sign up will attend an interactive training to learn more about our campaigns and how to be an effective advocate.
Once trained, YAHL members will work directly with our program staff to plan and lead your own projects and events.
To ensure your voice is heard, YAHL youth leaders organize meetings with school boards, principals, city councils, elected officials and more.
